Declan Waugh: I have held senior management positions in industry, research, business & environmental consultancy for over 25 years. The first 10 years of my professional career were focused as an environmental scientist in industry overseeing the environmental management of operations. During this period I was continuously engaged in design and development of several large scale EU funded collaborative research projects with European Universities utilizing innovative technologies to assess environmental impacts associated with industry for use in environmental and life cycle assessment. I was awarded the Cork Environmental Forum outstanding individual contribution to the Environment Award in 2008.
